    1. Fight for student debt relief. Already provided almost $170 billion in student debt relief to nearly 5 million students.

    2. Cap rising food costs with a federal ban on price gouging.

  5. Improve the Job Market, Especially For Manufacturing, Construction, Service, and Hospitality Workers

    1. Raise the minimum federal wage and end sub-minimum wages for tipped workers.

    2. Establish paid family and medical leave federally.

    3. Already created more than 1.6 million manufacturing and construction jobs—3x more than Trump—even before COVID-19.

    4. Sign pro-union laws, such as the PRO Act to support workers who organize to bargain.

    5. Eliminate taxes on tips.

  6. Affordable Housing Plan: 

    1. Build 3 million new affordable homes and rentals for working families and first-time homebuyers, who would get $25,000 in down payment assistance and a $10,000 tax credit.

    2. Lower rent costs by prohibiting land speculation by wealthy investors. Make life more affordable and secure for families, helping them achieve the American dream of homeownership and financial stability.

  7. Housing and Economic Growth:

    1. Tax breaks aim to build 3 million new housing units in the next four years.

  8. Financial Relief for Families and Workers:

    1. Restore the child tax credit up to $3,600

    2. Enhance the earned income tax credit to approximately $1,500 for workers without children.

    3. Introduce a new child tax credit of up to $6,000 for families with newborns.

Health

  1. Sign Roe v. Wade Protections Back Into Law

    1. Officially endorsed by major pro-choice advocacy groups, including Emily's List and Reproductive Freedom for All.

  2. Affordable Healthcare As A Right, Not a Privilege

    1. Cap insulin prices at $35 for everyone, not just for seniors.

    2. Cap out-of-pocket expenses for prescription drugs at $2,000 per year for everyone.

    3. Expand subsidies for ACA plans to save people an average of $700 on their health insurance premiums.

  3. Cancel Medical Debt 

    1. Canceling $7 billion in medical debt for up to 3 million Americans by 2026 already

    2. Continue working with states to cancel medical debt and ban medical debt from credit reports.

  4. Protect Communities From Gun Violence

    1. Support universal background checks for guns.

    2. Ban assault weapons.

    3. Support proven gun violence prevention programs.

Immigration:

  1. Bipartisan Border Security Deal

    1. Will bring back the bipartisan border security deal that Trump  cynically torpedoed in order to maintain immigration as a political weapon.

      1. Includes comprehensive immigration reform with an earned pathway to citizenship.

Climate Change:

  1. Historic investment in the Green Economy via the Inflation Reduction Act.

    • This lowered household energy costs, created thousands of clean energy jobs, and formed a clean energy economy.
